If you are here, you know me by one of those names. ;P
This is a space to put things.
My hope is that people might enjoy them.
Thanks for looking around.
DRHH (David Robert Holloway Hillis) is a storyteller and an observer. He has worked in a wide variety of mediums including textbooks , songs (Dualesc, Trillium, and most recently Tin Can Hype Man), gardens, paintings, sketches and video games. Presently, he is working with Just Got Real Studio as a writer and concept artist for a post apocalyptic tactical shooter.
I initially painted a sunflower with a carbon black center on this canvas. From there I started adding layers with white acrylic paint. I saw the trees first and brough them forward. Then I saw something weaving through the trees and I gave it color. After that I started seeing things and grabbed my acrylic pens and went on a kind of easter egg hunt. I enjoy this process of looking for what the paint and canvas create and my work is to make it easier for everyone to see the strange things that I see in the canvas.
Parts was conceived as a five act romantic comedy following the misadventures of a fool as he stumbles and trips his way to grace.
Parts was produced by Rob Hillis (drhh)
Vocals on Parts are by Rob and Genoa Hillis and Marshall Tipton.
The lyrics for Parts were written by Rob Hillis and Marshall Tipton.
Music for Parts arranged by Rob Hillis, Marshall Tipton, and Andy Hillis.

Thank you to all of the contributing artists and the kind listeners who helped bring this project to completion with their critiques and encouragements.
Here is the album with story art (draft)
This acrylic painting capture the frenzied moment when a reckless experiment goes catastrophically wrong. With vivid colors, distorted perspectives, and gritty realism, this piece plunges you into a twisted world of desperation and unexpected destruction.
This is concept art from a work in progress with sark humor, bold storytelling, and the raw energy of the unexpected. (16 x 20)
I found this ugly document in a box today. It was framed. Not sure why. This was an assignment at school. Among other things it says that I will "create something more beautiful than myself."
I put this over the statement and now I like the frame. Mission Accomplished. :P 11/17/24 - drhh (Lyle transformed)
"Stalling"is a digital story I created to celebrate innocence.
Genoa is amazing; she gets stuff done! I sit around, grow hair and watch paint dry somedays. (Acylic Pen)
Meet Clown Girl—a chilling fusion of manic whimsy and horror. Her unhinged gaze and grotesque makeup tell the story of a broken world where laughter isn’t medicine—it’s the last sound you’ll hear.

I'm thinking about space a lot these days. A story is taking shape.
Music and narrative by DRHH. Storyboarding and Narration generated with the help of ai.
I am imagining a family who lives on the space equivalent of a mack truck, kinda like space dumplings (highly recommended graphic novel).
In my imagination, the families live in very simple ships known as "Liferafts" as they tow freight through folds in space with only the slightest possibility of profit.
